Pigs
We source our organic pigs from farms who have the same high standards as ourselves. All our pigs are slow grown traditional types of pig (improved texture and flavour), the main supplier using Duroc cross pigs.
The pigs are reared in small batches, free to feed, drink and range over light sandy soils (to minimise the impact they have on their environment). Each group have there own shelter from the weather (the sun as well as cold, wet and windy weather), which is heavily bedded with straw for the pigs to nest in.
